Artist Statement
I capture the moments and emotions of everyday life.
My work does not aim to reproduce specific scenes; it begins with the traces of sensation and time that linger in memory. Restrained colors and simple forms allow me to organize emotions and set my own rhythm.
For me, the work itself is the most direct language. I layer what cannot be expressed in words—the subtle, unexplainable nuances—slowly on the surface. Flow and density matter more than completion, and empty spaces become part of the image, inviting the viewer’s experience.
Through my work, I do not try to tell a particular story; rather, I create quiet scenes where individual memories can naturally emerge. My paintings are records of open, unfolding time.

나는 일상의 순간과 감정을 기록한다.
내 작업은 특정 장면을 재현하기 보다, 기억 속에 남은 감각과 시간의 잔상을 다루는 데서 출발한다. 절제된 색과 단순한 형태는 감정을 정리하고 호흡을 고르는 나만의 방식이다.
나에게 작업은 가장 직접적인 언어이다. 말로 표현되지 않는 감정과 설명될 수 없는 여운을 화면 위에 천천히 쌓는다. 완성보다 중요한 것은 흐름과 밀도이며, 여백은 이미지의 일부로서 관람자의 경험을 기다리는 공간이 된다.
나는 작업을 통해 특별한 이야기를 전달하기보다, 각자의 기억이 자연스럽게 스며들 수 있는 조용한 장면을 만든다. 나의 작업은 열린 시간의 기록이다.
